Gahhh!! I left for a week for my Junior/Senior NY/DC spring break trip. I texted my dad on how to feed Arthur, but when I came back (@12:30  AM “yesterday”) his tank was full of uneaten food and poop! I siphoned out most of the uneaten food last night and did a 100% water change this afternoon. Right now, Arthur is just really bloated so I’m just gonna fast him for 2-3 days or when I see the swelling go down. He doesn’t show signs of difficulty staying underwater, and is just hanging out at the top part of the tank like he usually does. Hurry up and poop it all out Arty!! You can do it! OH! His top fin is ripped, too /crying I can’t control my heater and I’m not really sure on what salt to put in the water so I’m letting him heal as is :< I also got rid of whatever I thought that might’ve ripped it… my poor baby… mommy is back now and everything will be okay.

Some other news is that my lavender pot fell over on the day I left for the trip D: My sister and mom said that it was from the strong winds (which I believe b.c I remember my tray of sproutlings flew away too U__U”). When I went out back to use the hose for Arthur’s tank, the lavender was in a new pot and seems to be doing fine with some new leaves (or possible flowers?!?!?! I really hope so). My Aster Crego sproutlings are okay and were kept inside the house because I didn’t want them to get lost again. I hope this week won’t be so windy so that they can get the taste of sun directly instead of through the window.

I don’t plan on leaving for trips anytime soon now that I’ve had all these problems take place in the week I was gone.

currygah:

Gaiz gaiz it 3:24 am and in about 13 hours I’ll be on my way to the airport to fly over to Washington DC. I NEED SLEEP BECAUSE ITS A RED EYE FIGHT AND WE’RE STARTING THE TOUR ONCE WE GET THERE
OH and we’re also visiting NY. Not sure which city. Should I start my Spanish project now so I won’t do it after the trip? Idek.

So I finished reading Perks of Being a Wallflower.
It was uncomfortable to read at first, since Chbosky didn’t intend this book for YA for all it’s drugs, religious beliefs, and strong language (I don’t think it’s strong, that’s what a website says). The FAQ about Charlie was answered in the book, but could be missed easily. I read over the same line over and over again, thinking “REALLY?!”
All in all, Perks is a a nice book and is very controversial. Though when I finished it, I didn’t feel a sense of closure and it keeps me thinking.

It's sad that you made Dante so white looking in your drawing. Especially because the mexican-american identity is something that was a huge part of the book. And something that Dante really struggled with throughout. Think you missed the point dear.

I’m a junior in high school who has been drilled to analyze, dictate, and  explain quotes from autobiographies to poems. I’m pretty sure I got the internal conflict Dante was going through, babe.

But genes are another topic and school subject. There are multiple combo. of what Dante may look like, and Saenz gave us readers a lot of room to imagine what Dante and Ari would look like.

Why is my picture of the physical appearance of Dante so disappointing? I’ve asked myself why he looks “so white” and I guess I thought at the time that Dante has another conflict with his lack of Hispanic culture: his appearance.

If you want an image of Dante as a moreno, go ahead and request someone or draw him out yourself.
